The former maintenance director for the Petersburg school district will enter a plea agreement in a child pornography case.
KFSK reports federal prosecutors and an attorney for Tye Leif Petersen in mid-March agreed to the deal. It calls for Petersen to plead guilty to single counts of distribution, receipt and possession of child pornography. In exchange, he won’t be prosecuted further in this investigation.
The FBI investigated a Yahoo email account associated with someone in Tennessee. Authorities say they found Petersen had exchanged sexually explicit images and video.
The FBI then searched Petersen’s home in Petersburg, where officials say they found images of children on 11 CDs, five thumb drives, three hard drives and a desktop.
Petersen was arrested in Juneau as he attempted to fly to Seattle.
