An FBI investigation that began with the arrest of a suspected child pornographer in Alaska has led to federal charges against a New York state police investigator.
The investigator is assigned to a trooper barracks on Long Island. State police say he has been suspended without pay.
The Rocky Point school district says he was fired Thursday from his other job, as a high school assistant lacrosse coach.
A 13-page criminal complaint says SeanMichael Pagano downloaded several videos involving young girls engaged in sexual acts. His attorney says he has pleaded not guilty.
The videos allegedly came from a suspect in an Alaska child pornography case. That suspect is cooperating with investigators and provided information on those he allegedly dealt with.
