A former University of Alaska Anchorage educator is facing more than a dozen charges in connection with child pornography.
Tuesday, a grand jury indicted 37-year-old Curtis Osterhoudt with 10 counts of possession of child porn and four counts of distribution it, according to a report by Alaska State Troopers. He was arrested Wednesday.
The investigation, initiated by the Alaska Bureau of Investigation Technical Crimes Unit, began last December, troopers said. On Dec. 19, investigators found a suspect on the internet distributing child porn.
“Further investigation revealed the suspect to be on the UAA Campus and a persistent link to the suspect showed the crime was still in progress,” troopers said.
Osterhoudt worked at UAA from August 2012 to January 2014, according to Kristin DeSmith, assistant vice chancellor of university relations.
His bail is set at $50,000, troopers said.
