Detectives have identified suspects believed to have been involved in a Downtown Anchorage assault last weekend, authorities said Wednesday.
Sunday around 2:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a “physical altercation” outside on the 700 block of West Fourth Avenue, said Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Castro in a statement.
When police arrived, they found a male lying on the ground with “severe” injuries, Castro said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he remains.
“It was reported to police by medical staff that the male suffered severe head trauma,” Castro said.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Devarrio Garvin, 22, and Trevon Alldridge, 23. Garvin has been charged with second-degree assault and Alldridge faces first-degree hindering prosecution charges. They have not been taken into custody and police are asking anyone with information on their whereabouts to call APD at 786-8900.
The public can also submit tips anonymously by calling Anchorage Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP.
