Anchorage police are looking for the driver of a car that hit a woman, severely injuring her.
At about 11 p.m. Friday night, the 46-year-old woman was crossing the New Seward Highway between Northern Lights Boulevard and Benson Boulevard when she was hit by a silver four-door sedan with black mirrors, police said. She was taken to a hospital with a broken leg and possible internal bleeding.
One of the side mirrors was left at the scene, and police believe the car might have damage to the passenger side front fender.
Anyone with information on the hit-and-run is asked to give police a call at 786-8900.
