An unregistered sex offender was arrested in Anchorage Monday on multiple sex abuse charges, Alaska State Troopers said.
According to a Wednesday dispatch, 30-year-old Keith Roscoe Bartman was taken into custody following a two-week investigation initiated by AST’s Soldotna patrol. Both the Alaska Bureau of Investigation and the Anchorage Police Department worked to arrest Bartman, who faces two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, one count of second-degree attempted sexual abuse of a minor and one count of failing to register as a sex offender.
The Department of Public Safety’s sex offender database lists Bartman’s last known address as a camp near a mini-mall on Kalifornsky Beach Road. According to DPS, he was convicted of second-degree attempted sexual abuse of a minor in 2006. In 2011, he was convicted of second-degree attempted sexual assault stemming back to an incident in 2004.
Bartman was remanded to the Anchorage Correctional Complex, troopers said.
