A grand jury has indicted a Mountain View man in connection with his uncle’s murder.
Ralph Nayokpuk, 38, faces first- and second-degree murder charges stemming from an Aug. 6 fatal stabbing of 51-year-old Ronald Mullins. Mullins and Nayokpuk were raised as stepbrothers and lived in the same home, police said in a statement the day after the stabbing.
If convicted, Nayokpuk faces up to 99 years in prison. His bail has been set at $500,000 plus a court-approved third-party custodian, the Alaska Department of Law said. Nayokpuk will be formally charged with the crime Monday.
