Anchorage police say 32-year-old Mykel Olson was arrested after harassing a juvenile family member on Friday night.
Olson apparently asked the family member to leave a home on the 300 block of North Bunn Street.
Police say Olson followed the girl outside, then assaulted her and another family member who was attempting to help the girl. He then pulled out a hand gun.
When a passing driver tried to intervene, officers say Olson pointed his gun towards the ground and fired several shots. One of the bullets grazed the driver’s face when it ricocheted off the asphalt.
Olson was reportedly intoxicated.
He was taken to the Anchorage jail and is charged with several counts of assault and misconduct involving a weapon.
Bail is set at $50,000.
