Two men have been arrested for transporting heroin to Kodiak, police say.
According to a release from the Kodiak Police Department, 26-year-old Gregory Pruitt and 28-year-old Kevleen Clark were taken into custody by Alaska State Troopers when their ferry docked in Kodiak on Friday.
Troopers say they found approximately 15 grams of heroin, packaged in small quantities, for distribution.
The street value in Kodiak for the seized drugs is estimated at $7,500, according to the release.
Pruitt and Clark were arrested for second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance — a felony carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison — and fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance — punishable by a maximum of five years in prison.
Both were arraigned in court on Nov. 1. Pruitt’s bail was set at $20,000; Clark’s was set at $15,000.
