Alaska State Troopers have arrested a man for using police-style flashing lights to attempt to pull over motorists in the Fairbanks area.
Jake Taylor Crain of Fort Wainwright is charged with impersonating a public servant. The 18-year-old was arrested over the weekend after troopers previously warned him about using flashing red-and -white lights on his pickup truck.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner (http://ow.ly/DOc5h) reports that according to a criminal complaint filed in court, Crain was driving at 90 mph with emergency lights on the Richardson Highway on Saturday. Troopers seized the lights as evidence.
According to the Fairbanks Correctional Center, Crain remains held at the jail Tuesday on $2,500 bail. His public defender couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
