Alaska State Troopers arrested a man on murder and assault charges after the body of a White Mountain woman was discovered Thursday morning.
Troopers reported receiving word of a death at 10 a.m. Esther Lincoln, 40, was subsequently found dead in her home, according to an AST online dispatch.
The initial investigation led troopers to arrest 31-year-old Gilbert Olanna, also of White Mountain. Olanna was remanded to the Anvil Mountain Correctional Center on one count of first-degree murder, two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of fourth-degree assault.
Court records show Olanna has a history of assault, sexual assault and domestic violence. The investigation into the death is ongoing, troopers say.
