Anchorage police are responding to a report of a man who showed up to Bean’s Café with a gunshot wound.
The call came in around 4:15 p.m. Monday, according to the Anchorage Police Department.
Officers say the man showed up at Beans Café saying he had been shot. Workers saw he had what looked like a gunshot wound to the shoulder and called police.
The victim has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are now questioning people at Bean’s Cafe and in the area to try and figure out where the shooting took place.
An officer on scene says it may have happened at the top of the metal staircase that lead to a parking lot that Brother Francis and Bean’s Café share.
No suspect has been taken into custody at this time, APD says.
