ANCHORAGE – A California resident wanted for growing marijuana was arrested by the Alaska State Troopers near Ketchikan early Sunday morning.
According to trooper dispatch, 35-year-old Matthew Estrada was found near mile 6 of the North Tongass Highway after troopers responded to a disturbance call there around 12:30 a.m. Estrada had an outstanding $10,000 warrant out of Mendocino County.
He was promptly arrested without incident, troopers said, and taken to the Ketchikan Correctional Center to await extradition.
