Jerry Active was found guilty on 12 counts Friday for killing two grandparents and then assaulting three generations of the same family at an Anchorage home in 2013.
The jury found Active guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, two count of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of second-degree sexual assault, one count of first-degree burglary and two counts of fourth-degree assault.
Active was arrested and charged with killing Touch Chea and Sorn Sreap in their home and then sexually assaulting Sreap, a toddler and a great-grandmother.
In closing arguments Thursday, prosecutors said neighbor testimony proved Active broke into the Mountain View apartment and terrorized the family. The defense argued police failed to test key pieces of evidence for DNA.
Active had been released from jail about 12 hours before the crime spree.
He is being held without bail and is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 21.
