ANCHORAGE — The Anchorage Police Department says there may be more victims of a man accused of inappropriately touching children at the Anchor Lutheran School.

Adam Wilkinson, 32, worked for the school as a Child Watch employee between 1999 and 2014, and recently entered a guilty plea on a single count of first-degree harassment, police said in a statement.

At least one individual came forward about their interaction with Wilkinson, leading to a formal investigation by police that revealed at least four victims, according to APD spokeswoman Renee Oistad. Wilkinson admitted to “having inappropriate contact with multiple female juveniles who were attending the Child Watch program,” the statement said.

Wilkinson was first charged with four counts of first-degree harassment in October 2014, later reduced to one as part of a plea agreement Monday.

Oistad says while the case is closed, prosecutors believe there may be more victims, spanning his 15 years with the school.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding those encounters, particularly if they are themselves victims, to contact Det. Chris Thomas with APD’s Special Victim’s Unit by calling 907-786-2628.

Editor’s Note: An original release from Anchorage police named Wilkinson’s place of employment as Anchorage Lutheran School, rather than Anchor Lutheran School. This was corrected in a later release, and reflected here.
