ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Alaska State Troopers say a 41-year-old Wasilla man is under arrest after a standoff with authorities in which he used weapons, including a hunting bow.
Troopers say Jose A. Pacheco was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on charges of assault on law enforcement officers.
Troopers and Wasilla police responded to a home Monday night after a report of gunshots and possible victims.
Troopers say after several hours of negotiation, Pacheco shot several times at officers with weapons that included a pellet rifle and a compound hunting bow.
According to troopers, Pacheco was taken into custody after he gave up. Troopers say there were no victims at the home.
No one was injured in the incident.
It’s unclear if Pacheco has an attorney. He is being held on $500,000 bail.
