ANCHORAGE – Two children were thrown from their snowmachine by a drunk driver in the Southwest Alaska community of Levelock.
According to Alaska State Troopers, 22-year-old Ryan Andrew was driving his four-wheeler intoxicated when he struck a child-sized snowmachine carrying two children, ages 6 and 9. They received minor injuries in the crash, but troopers said Andrew kept driving.
After troopers were called around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, Andrew was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, DUI and reckless driving. He was taken to the jail in King Salmon, troopers said.
