Anchorage police have arrested and charged a man in a double homicide that occurred in January.
Michael Dorell Kelvin Reynold, 22, was taken into custody on Saturday in connection with the shooting deaths of 27-year-old Christian Haynes and 23-year-old Krystal Hawk, according to a release from the Anchorage Police Department.
Haynes and Hawk, a couple, were shot and killed inside of an East Anchorage apartment, located on the 6000 block of E. 41st Court just before 3:30 a.m. on January 27. Their deaths marked the second and third homicides of 2015, police say.
Reynold, who APD says is also known as “Boogie,” was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence. He was taken to the Anchorage Jail.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation, and no further details are being released at this time.
