A man was taken to the hospital after police say he was stabbed early Sunday morning.
Joseph William Evans, 26, was charged in connection with the stabbing of a 23-year-old man in Fairview, according to a release from the Anchorage Police Department.
Police got the call shortly before 4:30 a.m. When they arrived at the 1100 block of Karluk Street, they found a man suffering from two stab wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital; police say he is expected to survive.
Evans was charged with first-degree assault and is being held in the Anchorage Jail.
Police say alcohol was likely a factor in the incident.
