The Anchorage Police Department is investigating a reported stabbing at an apartment in Fairview.
Just before 6 a.m. Wednesday, it was reported to police that reporting that a woman had been stabbed multiple times. Police responded to the residence, located on the 1000 block of E. Ninth Ave, according to a release from APD.
The woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
Police say a suspect was taken into custody at the residence and also needed medical attention for “a severe cut.”
“Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident,” the release says.
The stabbing is under investigation, APD says, adding that additional information will be released once it becomes available.
