An afternoon release from police named the victim in Saturday’s early morning homicide as 18-year-old Elijah Zeller.
Zeller was dropped off at an Anchorage hospital with a gunshot wound early Saturday morning and later died, according to the Anchorage Police Department. APD is treating the case as a homicide.
An APD release states that just after 2:00 a.m. Saturday they were notified that a man had been left at the hospital with a gunshot wound, where he would later die.
Zeller’s next of kin have been notified.
Little else is known, but police say additional information will be provided as facts are confirmed in the case.
The Anchorage Police Department stated they have no suspects in custody and are asking the public for information about Zeller’s whereabouts and activities leading up to him being left at the hospital.
