ANCHORAGE – Police have arrested Wills Johnbaptiste, 26, in connection with a shooting that injured three people at the Office Lounge in November 2013.
Johnbaptiste faces two counts of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree assault and one count of second-degree misconduct involving a weapon. Two people suffered bullet wounds and a third victim was grazed by a bullet in the Nov. 10 shooting, police said.
The bar’s owners, who offered a $10,000 reward for tips leading to an arrest, said a dark-colored SUV had pulled into the Office Lounge parking lot on Northern Lights Boulevard and opened fire on the people standing outside. The Anchorage Police Department remained tight-lipped about the investigation for months.
After a warrant was issued for his arrest, police said Johnbaptiste turned himself in Wednesday. The investigation was aided by the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson CID Office, police said.
