The Anchorage Police Department (APD) has released the identity of a 29-year-old man who was shot and killed in Government Hill, late-Monday night, as Ian Alex Bobich.
As of Tuesday evening, police said no arrests had been made.
Just before 11 p.m., Monday police dispatch received several calls from people in the area reporting gunshots near Elm Street and East Bluff Drive, police said.
When APD arrived on scene they found Bobich dead outside of a residence on the 800 block of Elm Street. His death is being investigated as a homicide, APD wrote in a release.
Anyone with information on the incident is being asked to call police at 907-786-8900.
Bobich’s next of kin has been notified of his death.
