The Anchorage Police Department and the FBI are searching for the suspect who robbed the First National Bank, located at 5305 E. Northern Lights Blvd., on Monday morning.
The man robbed the bank at around 10:30 a.m. and fled on foot, police say. The suspect approached the teller station with a gun and presented a note that demanded money and stated he was armed, according to the Anchorage division of the FBI.
The FBI has released photos obtained from the bank’s security cameras during the robbery. The bureau describes him as a male in his late 20s or early 30s and approximately 5’4″-5’7″ tall. The subject is believed to have worn a disguise during the robbery, which included a black shoulder-length wig and cosmetic facial hair, according to a bureau release. He was seen wearing a blue or gray baseball cap with the words “Portland” on the front, a black hoodie, black pants and black tennis shoes.
The amount stolen from the bank has not been disclosed.
