ANCHORAGE – A little booze and a gun resulted in a shooting in Kodiak, Alaska State Troopers said.
According to troopers, a 33-year-old man stole a pistol from a car Friday night, then started drinking and driving around with another man, 25. The gun went off, troopers said, and struck the 33-year-old in the knee. Shrapnel also hit his passenger.
The man, who has not yet been publicly identified, told hospital staff he fell at a construction site.
Troopers said they expect a number of charges to be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
