A toddler and a 32-year-old woman from Mountain Village were medevaced to Bethel with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by an ATV Wednesday afternoon, Alaska State Troopers said.

The collision followed an argument between Jeanette Myre and 22-year-old Georgianne Hanson, according to an online AST dispatch posted Thursday morning. Troopers said Hanson, also of Mountain Village, was driving a four-wheeler with a passenger aboard when she spotted Myre pushing the toddler in a stroller. Hanson stopped the four-wheeler, the two women began arguing and Hanson allegedly threatened to hit Myre with the ATV, troopers said.

According to AST, Hanson then drove away, turned back around, struck Myre and the baby in the stroller and drove away. A good Samaritan took both Myre and the toddler to the Mountain Village clinic, troopers said, and the injured duo was then flown to Bethel for further medical attention.

Hanson was located by troopers, arrested and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and failure to render aid, court records show.
